About Us
IBEW Local 871 proudly represents union members from the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers who are employed along the Florida East Coast Railway, which spans 351 miles from Jacksonville to Miami. Founded in 1996, our local encompasses several distinct crafts, which include carman, clerks, dispatcher, foreman, machinist, and electricians, as well as signal and communications.
Our workshops are strategically located in Jacksonville, Saint Augustine, New Smyrna Beach, Cocoa, Melbourne, Fort Pierce, West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale, and Hialeah. We're honored to represent these union members who are ensure that freight keeps moving along the railway
